Renew a Shop Permit - Barbers

Please read ALL requirements and instructions before proceeding with the application process.

Barbershop permits must be renewed every two years. The Board automatically mails renewal information and instructions to permit holders approximately 60 days prior to the expiration date of the current permit. If a permit holder does not receive the renewal information or a paper application is needed, the permit holder must call 410-230-6190 or e-mail barbers.cos@maryland.gov to request a renewal application or information no less than 30 days prior to the expiration date.

Please note: Business Occupations and Professions Article Section Section 4-605, Annotated Code of Maryland provides that you must be affiliated with a licensed salon or licensed barbershop to perform services.
